My cat has a double claw coming out of one 'thumb'?

Yesterday upon snuggling my cat, I noticed that she has a double claw(2 separate claws) coming out of her thumb, and it is curled right around and almost touching her paw/skin. She doesn't complain about being in pain at all...doesn't act out of the norm. Is this worth an expensive trip to the vet? Or something she can live with?
