RSS Do 'blunt' people ie.insensitive, merely have an inflated sense of their own self importance?

I am not blunt but I am not pompous or conceited either. I'm more inclined to altruism than self interest you know? But, I feel people that think being blunt is a great character trait are actually just ignorant. Surely being gracious and refined in dealing with people and things is rather better?
