What are the ramifications of a white man writing an imperfect black character?

How sad is it that you even need to ask this question? Only you know your heart. The fact is, some black people are alcoholics; some are drug addicts; some are thugs. It is also a fact that some are great family people; some are educators; some are ministers. It's time we all recognize those facts and stop being so overly sensitive. Why didn't you ask the question about the white characters?
