Shouldn't Palin heed the Watergate incident, and cooperate now?

Nixon was almost impeached not because of White House "dirty tricks" responsible for the breakage and entering of Democratic campaign headquarters, but for evasive cover-up. Isn't it dangerous for Palin to appear evasive in her refusal to cooperate with the Troopergate investigation, which had started before she was picked by McCain?
