Does the Tao Te Ching mention Christ?

I was watching some seminar last week and this guy was talking about how evidence shows that the founder of Taoism (Lao Tzu?) was from the Christian church at Syria, and Taoism was his spreading of the gospels in a language the east Asians could understand. Since the east Asians were not familiar with Greek or Hebrew theology he used Asian ways to explain everything. Also consider "Tao" means "Way" and the early Christians, even in the Bible, called themselves followers of the "Way".
